What I usually get asked first is "how do you get that blurry background on portraits?" and with a quick set of instructions on using the appropriate aperture and a little hand holding at first, they're snapping away pictures after pictures of portraits with sharp subjects but with a creamy, blurry background.

Everyone seems to want to achieve that effect common on most portraits and its actually very easy to achieve. To illustrate what shutter controls can do, I had my colleagues try to capture jumping shots. And with a little guidance, they were capturing jump shots in no time.

After what seemed like hours taking portraits and jump shots, and enduring annoyed looks from Ayala Triangle guards, we were back to the office to view the results of the morning's efforts.
Thanks to the participants for allowing me to share some of the pleasures of photography. Happy Snapping.
